'This is going to be a big prize': Mississauga grandfather takes home nice win in OLG lotto draw


A Mississauga senior has scored a nice lottery win.

Charles Duguay, 81, who is a retired grandfather, matched enough numbers in a May 29 Lotto 6/49 draw to take home $100,000, according to a release from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Commission.

He said in the release that when he checked his numbers, Duguay he was surprised at so many zeroes showing up.

“I thought — holy, this is going to be a big prize,” he said.

Duguay said he plans to share the $100,000 win with his children, who told him he “worked hard and (deserves) this.”

The winning ticket was bought at Jac’s Milk Convenience on Dundas Street.
